Blue down to my bones

It’s colllld. Mighty collllld. And I’ve been feeling it down to my bones. The bones on my dress that is.

I was excited about this dress when I first saw it, mistaking the print for some interesting graphic pattern. Then I realised that it was actually skeletons, and wasn’t sure. Then I tried it on, and it was perfect. I came to love the bones.

I’ve worn it to work, out, in an attempt to impress, with red lipstick and red shoes, or boots and jumpers. It’s a strange combination of flattering 50s silhouette which makes me feel Mad Men-tastic, and skeletons, which makes me feel a bit Addams Family, or Tim Burton. A strangely ideal combination.

With my newly-cut fringe, exciting new bubble umbrella plus cobalt blue coat I was quite pleased. Skele-tastic!

Brightly-coloured trousers are my kryptonite…

This has been true, if not since the beginning of time, then perhaps very close.

The other day I was lucky enough to be treated to a pair of lovely floral trousers! I wore them on Tuesday, despite the terrible cold and wind and rain…. I sneakily wore a pair of footless tights underneath to keep toasty warm.

Et Voila! C’est superb n’est-ce pas?
